    Midwest CP Meet (Indy)?

So this would be one of those things where you bring a few plants to display and maybe to trade. Being the end of Aug, a good number of Sarracenias will look quite nice.

    2011 North-Central Midwest CP Meeting?

Is there going to be a 2011 meeting? I've missed all the past ones and finally have breathing room to be able to attend. Or have I already missed it?

    Super 5-Variety Unlimited SASE+

Sure! I've never grown any carnivorous plants from seed before. I'm planning to sow on straight milled sphaghum peat, sprinkle the seeds on the top, lightly spray with RO water so it's moist, cover with plastic and then put the tray on my warmer light stand. How does that sound? BTW, my...

    Help! Accidentally Fertilized Pings

The pings are looking pretty good after being rinsed multiple times. Thanks everyone. A good number of my Pings are in baking dishes or other glazed containers made for culinary use, so no concern here about leaching here.

    Help! Accidentally Fertilized Pings

Help! I accidentally fertilized some Pings by getting my water jugs mixed up. The only thing I can think of is taking the Pings out, rinsing the roots and repotting in fresh potting mix with no nutrients. Do I have any other options?

I have few random things to trade for Nepenthes cuttings or pings

Unsure why this is in the trading post section? That said, what were the growing conditions when the plants were 2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter? Thanks

    Hello From the Chicago Area

Thanks everyone! At the moment I'm a bit surprized at the number of CP vendors who don't offer the option to use heat packs during the winter. I'm used to the African Violet world where the vendor does not do any shipping during the winter, or uses heat packs, or only offers 1-2 day shipping...

    Hello From the Chicago Area

Hi Everyone, I live in the western burbs of the Chicago area . My son and I started with CPs maybe 4-5 years ago. Right now I like my Ping Gigantea the best. It used to be Heliamphora Minor until I went off on a business trip and the plants didn’t get watered. H. Minor survived though...
