Jimscott, I have a question. Looking at your photos, it looks like many of your pings grow in LFSM. However, isn't the acidic nature of sphagnum supposed to be somewhat inhabitable to pings, versus an alkaline mix more similar to their nature habitat?
I think some of the Mexican pings would work well. They don't need much in the way of watering, especially if you keep their terrarium semi-sealed up so that not much moisture is lost to evaporation. And they don't get very big.
Adelae is an issue? Really? Mine had issues a little over a month ago when I noticed a nasty mealybug infestation. I treated it with an insecticide, which slowed it down a bit and which roughed up its babies a bit, but it sprang back and is growing like crazy.
