Hello,
I have a 6x8 greenhouse that I am using to grow annual Drosera for the summer. It is made out of flexible, semitransparent plastic sheeting which is relatively thin. I am wondering if I could use this greenhouse for Nepenthes in winter if I have a space heater going.
Thanks,

These lights use 4 T8 32 watt bulbs, is that enough for a large drosera chamber? I want to be sure before I buy them.
I just set up my 40 breeder and it is cycling great. I may regret saying this but I love the look of the T5s. I may move on to LEDS later but for now T5s create my favorite look. I do not like the deep blue look in many tanks with LEDS and prefer clear water with no color, just the livestock...
I picked up a bunch of spores of these at the 2012 ICPS conference, I just innoculated them into a log. I believe the species isPanellus stipticus. Yeah I agree mushrooms are awesome!
Pygmies are my absolute favorite drosera because of their hardiness and ease of growth. I keep mine outside for the summer in full sun and they thrive. In the winter they will not tolerate cold so keep them under lights inside. The biggest thing is constant moisture and high light. Dont worry...
Hello,
I just wanted to ask if there is a carnivorous plant society for residents in NJ, and if not would anyone be interested in forming one? I know of many prominent growers in NJ and it would be great if we could get together sometime and share our knowledge of CPs.
Any input is welcome...
If you put the lights right on your window the authorities may think you are growing pot unfortunately.....it has happened many times. Just be careful with that.
I am not an expert on refrigerators but from my experience they can become very humid if moisture is provided. The fridge has shelves so I am considering putting trays of water on shelves that are not being used by plants. If this will not work I can put a pond fogger in it which will definitely...
One of my family members businesses has closed down and they have multiple functioning mini fridges that they are getting rid of. I am thinking of cutting a hole in the top, installing a light fixture, and putting highland neps and helis in it. The fridge can go down to to the upper 40s and can...
