N. ampullaria is one of my favorites plants but sadly, I can't get it to germinate. I've bought seeds from different sellers on ebay with no luck.
I was wondering, what's the normal germination time for ampullaria?
I recieved rafflesiana and ampullaria seeds the 3 of...
So all highlands, right? Hybrids, but highlands. That should explain the low humidity tolerance. Awesome adaptation. Gonna use it as an inspiration if you don't mind.
How many times do you mist it during the day?
Sorry, I didn't say so but yes, I have a lowland terrarium and a highland grow chamber for the summer months so I can grow both high and lowland species.
Ok so Jamban it is!
And about hook and ventri, which one do you like the most?
So I'm gonna buy a couple of plants from a friend here and I have to decide.
I've already decided for a truncata
but I have to decide between:
N. jamban vs N. talangensis
N. ventricosa vs N. hookeriana
Choose and help me choose!
Sure, i'll take pics tomorrow.

Humidity does not stay at 90%. When the humidifier is on, it gets to 100% but the rest of the time it gradually drops to 75% (that's the min during the day). It's higher...
I have a small "terrarium" (more of a wood box, really) with my Nepenthes there. The terrarium is 2x2x2 feet. I have 2 CFL bulbs (27w and 32W, the lumen output is nowhere to be seen), 1x13W T5 (740 lumen) and 1x36W PLL (1770 lumen). All the lights are 6500k. They are inside the...
First of all: Thank you for the answers!
Don't take me wrong, when I bought the highland seeds I knew it would take commitment and I will do anything they need to grow. I'm just asking because having highland neps in my garden or balcony instead of being inside a greenhouse would be...
I recieved a couple of N. aristo and other highlands seeds like 4 months ago and now they are starting to germinate. So long some few aristo, dubia and jacquelineae have sprouted but i'm quite excited.
I'm from Argentina. Winters are almost perfect for highlanders (lol) but the middle...
