what shall I do? cut it off or let it go? its over two years old and I am concerned about it impairing the plant's potential growth. its s. purpurea (sp) been a LONG time since I posted.
in a nutshell, I kept too much water on the plants in the winter. overwateredthem.
I lost s. scarlet belle, five s. purps, s. judith hindle, s. f2 hybrid, vft red dragon, s. rubra, 35 vft typical, 4 s. pssitancia, s. alata , s. minor x, s. minor, 4 s. leuco red, 4 s. leuco titan, s. oreo x j...
well, lost about 60-70% of my plants over the winter. I won't go into it because I am just a bit upset with myself. what I was wondering if anyone had typical plants for trade.
I have 4 d. dichotoma giant root cuttings, 1 marsten dragon, numerous d. cap typical and albino plants, seed of the...
well, just took a toll of my plants today. I won't bore you with the specs, but I mismanaged the plants water over the winter in my garage, and lost about 35 pots of plants. 20 of those pots had at least two plants apiece. basically wiped my sars out, killed every one of my vfts. so needless to...
they do have free boxes, a few different sizes too. I have a bunch at the house right now. just go in and ask. you can also get them online shipped free to your house as suzanne said
yes, I goofed. from now on, the plants (all of the) will winter in my coolest room in the house like they did two seasons ago. I lost zero. the one that hurts the most was a gorgeous pot from wal mart of all places, that my wife gave me for father's day. I have one vft typical that is apparently...
just remember one thing. text has no emotion attatched to it. so no matter what the subject, and no matter what manner it is meant in, it can be taken the wrong way. so, be careful on what you type out, and think it through.
well, dormancy did NOT go well for me. I lost quite a few plants due to not monitoring the watering process. many of my vfts died as well as a sar or two. I have many d. capensis albino and typical for trade. plants are of all sizes. what I would like is help in replacing the plants. shipping...
i dug up some of the bulbs today, and I found that many of them are mush. i believe that I may have lost about 35 plants all said and done. I kept them outside in my garage, and I kept them too wet.
so, how long does it take for your typical run of the mill vft to come out of dormancy? I have had several inside for about a month now, and I have nothing. this is only my third year growing cps, and I cannot remember how long it takes for them to come around. I did dormancy a bit differently...
what is your experience in having cps come out of dormancy, ie, how long does it take once they are brought back inside. all types, vfts, sars, and the like. I have had mine inside now for about two weeks and change, and I cannot remember how long it took last year for them to come around.
as this plant is yet unidentified as it was a hitch hiker, it could be D. intermedia too. there is no sign of life yet. any ideas on D. intermedia?? thanks, Bob
well, it could be a bit late for this, but does D. nidiformis (sp) need a dormancy? I had this guy under normal lighting all summer (he was actually outside all summer as a hitchiker plant) and then slowly went into an apparent dormancy. anyone have info on this for me? I have had the plant...
don't really feel like reading through four pages of re's, so here is the one myth that I hate...talking on a cell phone while pumping gas can and will make an explosion occur...yeah, some people will believe anything.
