Exo: That's what I've been doing, hoping that it would recover, but nothing's happening :(
Amph: Thanks, I'll make sure to dilute it next time. That is the old media. The new soil is much lighter.
Hello fellow TFers.
A few months ago I recieved a small (2 1/2") N. bicalcarata along with a few other lowland Neps. For the first few weeks, it was growing vigorously, and during that time it pumped out two new, huge leaves. On the first day I got it I gave it a diluted coffee treatment, and...
Well, after taking out the moranensis, the gnat infestation has worsened a lot. There are now a lot more of them flying around in there. I tried letting the soil get as dry it can get without the harming the plants, but that didn't seem to help. My bicalcarata is failing (not growing and old...
Thanks, NaN, I'll try that on the remaining CP's. Sadly, the P. Moranensis has died. The crown turned brown and mushy, so I lifted it up and there was a HUGE "colony" of fungus gnat larvae crawling around in there. I removed the pot and threw it away. I think they were all living in that pot...
It might be, but either way, it's the same care. Ventricosa and Alata are both really easy to grow and require the same conditions. Maybe some more experienced growers will be able to tell a difference, but ventricosa and ventrata look pretty similar at that size.
Ventricosa is one of the easiest nepenthes to grow, so you won't need a terrarium, just a south-facing windowsill. Since you got in a death cube I suggest you slowly acclimate it to the lower humidity of your windowsill, but if you don't want to you can just put it straight on the windowsill and...
Hello fellow TF'ers
A few weeks ago I noticed a fungus gnat larvae on my ping, but I ignored it as I thought the moranensis would take care of it. I recently moved it in to my grow chamber (dews, sarr sprouts, neps) and now there's a whole bunch of them flying around in there. They haven't been...
Very nice! I need to get one of those. Mine fell on it's side while I was at school and the plastic around the oscillator melted so now it doesn't work anymore :(
Hello TF'ers
A few days ago I got a Blue Mystery Snail for my U. Gibba tank. It's pretty big, about 1 1/2" shell. The problem is, I have a "colony" of brown pond snails in the same tank and I'm not sure if they will get along. I have seen the pond snails on the blue mystery snail's shell and...
Got the seeds in the mail today :D !
As for the feedback, the seeds arrived quickly and in great shape. They were packaged in a little square of cardboard in an envelope, and only 1 seed was damaged (split in two). Thank you very much!, I'll keep you updated on the progress.
