.and here I add some pictures of today, mostly new cultures:
drosera falconeri, still without root system, but flowering already
drosera montana var. montana "Botumirin'
drosera sp. 'Auyan Tepui' on semi-liquid gel (some dews grow much faster this way)
drosera madagascariensis. Don't know...
Dear CP growers!
Past 2 weeks I have been deflasking and started to acclimatize many sundew species from in vitro.
Most of then grew well in various tested nutrient media, some test have been performed with hormones and with colloidal silver. Here I would like to share several pictures with...
Just would like to invite you to check out my new online store specialized in drosera species stationed in Prague, Czech Republic.
I cant send plants to the USA but if you find yourself moving to EU or need some seeds you can take a look at it :)
I hope you like it i have never...
Hey everybody! Thanx for nice comments! Surprised some of you speak CZech so well!:-)
Devon, Peatmoss: Yes, I do sell seeds. The flowering season just started here, so later I will have some for sale/swap.
Tony C- no, I didnt use colchicine. In most of cases it makes plants sterile or the seeds...
drosera burmannii -regular form
drosera burmannii "Humpty-Doo" - nice pink colouration
drosera burmannii - this is the result of my experiments in the lab, this form of burmannii is gient,,almost 6cm in diameter, very robust plant
drosera ascendens 'Itarare,SP,Bra'
Hi, CP enthusiasts!
It has been some time since I posted here. I have been busy (amongst other things) with building my PCB greenhouse where I keep most of my plants now. All spring I have been deflasking, acclimatizing and potting up the plants and now the collection starting to look nicer. I...
flasker:d intermedia is really weedy in tissue culture so you will not need any hormones to propagate it. She will create offshoots after some time. You can replate her to fresh medium to speed up the process.
Flasker: If your drosera has been in vitro for 4 months and is flowering, they cannot be too young. They are adult now. What drosera species is it? Do you have a picture? I think you can deflask most of the plants and replate the rest on medium (cut the flower stalk). Some species you dont even...
Flasker: If the drosera species is self-fertile/self-polinating you might get viable seeds. But even drosera like this will most likely not produce seeds, because the air humidity is close to 100% and the pollen is not dry enough. If the plant is currently on medium with hormones you will not...
Thez_yo: Yes, they are to be potted up in the greenhouse next month.
CPlantaholic: Most of these jars come from last fall/winter and have only been replated once or twice. Now part of the plants will be deflasked and part will be maintained in TC for further propagation. It is a...
Here I would like to share with you pics of TC jars
drosera villosa (real)
drosera graminifolia 'spiralis'
Some time ago I obtained seeds of this interesting group of plants and now i can post pictures of them. The crosses look very attractive and photogenic. I hope you like the pics:
drosera (ordensis x falconeri) x darwiniensis
drosera darwiniensis x kenneallyi
@amphirion: in TC plants dont undergo dormancy periods they grow constantly until the medium is exhausted. When deflasked I give them about 1-2 weeks to acclimatize (>90% humidity, fluorescent light , no sun) and then just grow them like any other drosera depending on what the plant's needs...
