Sorry, forgot to answer the food question. I feed mine active dry yeast, they love it. However they will eat any decaying plant matter thrive quite well in peat moss. You should be happy to have them, sounds like they are doing a good job of feeding the pings. They don't eat live plants.

Sounds like regular old springtails. A few millimeters long of varying color and able to jump a few thousand times thier hieght. Harmless and good for pings. I actually culture them by the millions to feed to my frogs.

Those plants originated from TC in Czech. I have many of them myself that I purchased directly from the company.
However, I have never ordered from that reseller on ebay.

Cool, so what do you want as a trade. I have several species of the more common sarrs including one with a red top. Also have some lowland and highland neps. I'll make you a list later if you are interested.

OK did my research. Looks cool for a stinker.
Found bulbs for only ten dollars. Are you guys sure you aren't thinking of Amorphophallus titanum which is very expensive, the one that makes the giant flower.
Jeremiah, Nice choice in backdrop for contrast. Nice plant too. Mine (which I believe was yours once) has taken off quite well since I moved the A/C to blow across the top of the table. About time too, I was beginning to think the thing was made of plastic.

I'd say just replace everything except the RO membrane and don't worry aobut it. If the carbon filters get too old the the chlorine can get past them and tear up the RO membrane.
On the bright side it is still legal to breath in California. Well, unless the current bill passes. Apparently breathing causes cancer so California is trying to outlaw it.
As far as I know Phil ordered darts from Patrick who does not deal in Phyllobates. Haven't heard anything lately on the frogvine though.
I got my aurotaenias from jbeetle and advise you to do the same, he will trade plants with you in the same shipment.
