hey dont worry about it ktulu. like schloaty said, as long as the trap is not turning black, dont worry. i fed a small crix to my vft before, it took like 10 days for it to open back up. its just enjoying its meal.

today i got the tank and lights. they are compact flour, they put out i think 800 lumues ( spelt ) per bulbs i have already good a hood.

2 96watt bulbs? may i ask how much your light bill has gone up with using them. also thats what i have thought about doing is using compact bulbs but i dont know, and one more thing, when you say compact, i hope you mean compact flourescent lights.
