    Try putting the vft (pot and all) in a zip locked bag with a flea collar. Just keep it out of the sun!

    If this were my vft i would take it out of the soil and check the bulb to make sure it isn't mushy. If it isn't mushy go ahead and put it back, but I wouldn't plant it so deep. Only the white part of the rhizome needs to be buried. If the rhizome is mushy you might have to peel it back to get to...

    U. Nelumbifolia flowers start out like....?

    I keep my U. Nelumbifolia very very wet and it has grown like this for years. It's in an east facing window sill and is in flower right now. Temps can go as low as 40f with no problems.

    Your dentate could still be a dentate. Mine always have regular traps early in the season then grows the dentate traps later in the season. I hope this is the case with yours. Jack

    I have a Christmas cactus that has been in my possession for 33 years. My grandmother had it for many years before that. My oldest carnivorous plant is my Cephalotus that i have been growing for ten years.

    I have bloomed my first macro utric. :banana2: It's U. nelumbifolia i received from Ron (RL7836). I got the plant in Oct. of 2011 and have it sitting on an east facing window. My U. nelumbifolia took seven weeks from the time i first saw the bud to it opening. Jack

    Irate homeowner shoots plant thief

    The potential thief should be arrested but killing him? Lets not forget he was a father, should they lose their dad because he tried to still a plant? Killing a person who enters a house illegally I'm all for, but not for stilling property outside the home.
