    For Sale Darlingtonia californica

Are they coastal or mountain form? Also, are they from seed, and how old are they?

    Max Temps for Drosera schizandra?

Yup. Low to mid 70s in the daytime might be ok if you can drop the nighttime temps into the low 60s to high 50s or (preferably) lower. 80s for any real length of time will lead to a quick death esp. without a big temp drop at night.

    Pinguicula fiorii

So what do you do? Just leave them exposed to the elements?

    Pinguicula fiorii

Interesting, do you do anything special to keep the vermin from eating your plants as they overwinter?

Anyone know of a cheap source for small, sturdy pots?

One of the local greenhouses around here gives those kinds of pots away if you happen to be there on the right day and ask for them, esp. if you are buying something. Stop by a few of the greenhouses in your area and ask, maybe they can help you out.

    Cold-temperate Pinguicula seed stratification - freezer ?

Yes, this can work. I do mine outside in the winter, but I realize that is not possible for everyone.

Hello, Fresh addict here. need help building a bog garden.

Do you rinse your coir? I have read you must be wary of salt, any problems with that? Also, how often do you have to repot with coir? I would imagine that it doesn't go "bad" very fast, but who knows?

Hello, Fresh addict here. need help building a bog garden.

This is really interesting, and I would love to try something similar, but alas, I have faaaaar too little sun to pull it off. I would be very interested in hearing what plants have survived your winter. Please keep us posted! Also, wondering how your peat/coir mix worked out. Any problems?

    D. rotundifolia cutting - dormancy or not?

I would do the dormancy, but it's a good thing you took the cuttings. Better safe than sorry.
