    D. ordensis Seedlings - Thanks Homer!

Good work! Thanks for letting me know you had some good results. :)

    Drosera ordensis seeds for SASE

Good, I'm glad to hear some good feedback on the cardboard protection. A few years ago I read that the post office uses "rollers" that can crush any seeds that are in an envelope. I was hoping the cardboard, and easy to remove painters tape would protect the seeds :) I think I had to wait at...

    Drosera ordensis seeds for SASE

I never tried using LFS in place of perlite for these plants. My guess is a LFS/peatmoss mix would be unsuitable in the long term. Rinsed sand would be better than LFS. Homer

    Drosera ordensis seeds for SASE

Update 8/6/08 - There are 7 more packets of seeds left. I'm pleased to announce a Drosera ordensis seed giveaway. Two of my mature ordensis plants have flowered at the same time last month, and I'm fortunate enough to have been available to hand pollinate them. I pollinated the two plants in...

    Jack in the Pulpit Photo

Thanks everyone. I grow them in standard potting soil for the most part, keeping it moist to wet, in shade. The plant starts growth in early May, then typically yellows and dies down in August-September. I keep it moist year round. The pot is kept outdoors year around... winter it gets down to...

"Fence-defense" was installed earlier this Spring. Our Dachshund likes to get his toy ball stuck in the pots, then "dig it out". I had enough of that... I see how you might think that... Although I fuss with my woolies most the time, I'm spending more quality time with tropical Utrics and my...

Nothing major here, just the first blooms of the young season, so I have to share. I think the purpurea's are next in line to bloom... -Homer

    U alpina flower

After 4 years of growing this plant, it has finally flowered for me. I credit transplanting it in a good "orchid" pot with numerous holes, filled predominately with LFS and perlite, with a top dressing of live sphagnum moss. Photo period is currently set to 14 hours of light a day. These are...

    Just some petiolaris group pics

:0o: Really? You must be the most fortunate Petiolaris Complex grower out there! Good deal. Is it me, or are these plants circulating more and more over the past few years? Anyway, what does TAHBWG stand for? I missed that one. bye for now, Homer

Very nice! I see your "de-flask" photo... do you do leaf cuttings as well, or prefer TC? Did I ever send you a falconeri, hence the "HL" or am I assuming something... Homer
