I bought what was supposed to a dwarf but looks like it is not. It's in my display terrarium & just keeps getting bigger & bigger. I need the mini version. Hoping to find a one from a individual that knows it is the dwarf form. Here's a link to pix of mine...
Thanks
I don't know, I got it from a online vender. Not sure if he will know or remember at this point, but I'll ask. I was hoping you could tell from the shape of the leaves and or pitches, do the small ones look just like the large ones only smaller?
Are the little shoots from the center...
I bought a nepenthes that was supposed to be a Dwarf Maxima several months ago. I have read & was told they are a good bit smaller & the pitchers stay around 3". My plant is growing very well & is quite happy but is getting really big. The pitches are 6 or 7" depending on if you measure the lid...
I see you live in south Florida. Do you have CP that need cool/cold temps at night & if so how do you get those temps? Also I bet you have orchids too?
Thanks
Jim
I would like to have a cp tank, but finances will not allow it. From what I have learned many/most get really big & a green house would be a better fit. Maybe when my ship comes in?
Thanks
Jim
update photos of CP plants
I did with help from several CP people get a couple bug eaters.
It's a dwarf Maxima. This is it back in may about a month after I got it. When I got it, it only had one open pitcher & one about to open. The thing grows like a weed! Can't wait for it to start to...
Thanks, I was more talking about different kinds of CP more than different N. but good to know about the elevations too. I've been doing some reading about some N. that I heard were smaller or easy keepers. Beside the differences/exceptions you mentioned, different people seem to have success...
Been researching what plants might be suitable for terrarium growing. Been reading older posts about them & thought I'd ask for some currant info. From what I can gather they are lowlander that doesn't get so big?
Thanks
Jim
Thanks all, I'm hoping to make this at least a part time second career. That one is one of the smaller simpler ones I make. They take a lot of time & so end up pretty expensive so do not sell very fast. But I like making them so what are you going to do?
