Ever get this choking green surface-slime? Not good..... Near dead N. ventricosa. :(

AND, you may have a heartier grower afterwards. :D I know that my Cephs have done that in the past.

For me, trays are for catching draining water and keeps the water from going into the carpet. I like to top-water; as the draining water (thanks Mister Gravity) pulls oxygen down into the soil. Roots like that. :)

I've finally succeeded in growing (and propagating) it in dryer-than-usual conditions. They've been flowering a lot for me too this summer. :) They like a tad bit higher humidity than most of my other pings also.

Cephs are easier for me in my growing conditions. Heli's are a very different story: I once had three species and hybrids of Heli's and they never produced one adult pitcher in 2½ years of "growing". I could not get my conditions both light enough and cool enough for Heli's I guess. Plus the...
