    PROJECT: Mexican Ping Dripping Wall

Keep in mind that soil plus water can be heavy and may fall down. You can use the media used for building worldwide green walls (see google with green walls). The media is this one typical on this link on the pictures ...

The smallest Pinguicula flower in the world!

Very small but not the smallest. I have in mind P. crenatiloba : flowers extremely small, 1.5-2mm long more here : http://www.pinguicula.org/A_world_of_Pinguicula_2/Pages/Postcard_20.htm but maybe that this new unpublished mexican species is the tiniest in the world : ??? more...

    P. Gigantea Selfing?

Not easy to tell according to my own experience. I always try to do it by myself. I noted at home that the P. gigantea "lilac flower" from Stan Lampard I grow never selfpollinate but the P. gigantea "white form" produce seeds by self pollenisation sometimes (very few). I cross both and...

    P. medusina pics...

Here are some pictures of a population of P. heterophylla in habitat with some plants exhibiting plantlets on its leaf tips . As Oliver Gluch wrote : " P. heterophylla plantlets on leaf tips : this is definetely not a unique feature of P. medusina..." Your plants are really impressive Brian !

    Pinguicula filifolia

It is a Cuban species that in its habitat, a savanah can suffer hot temperature but it grow among grasses and the flower are over the top of the grasses (hence the need of a drier air for the flower and pollen for pollinating). Cool temperature can let the plant to rot easely.

    Gypsum for Mexican Pings?

No idea, shearch in internet the amount of iron in tropical laterite maybe or experiment on few plants of same species to compare various amount of iron. As I wrote, experiment may be the only way to succeed or take ride of this idea

    Pinguicula filifolia

Except production of seed, another way of inducing clamps it to make plant suffering very hot conditions (45 °C at least). Using this way, a friend of mine in Australia, in his greenhouse produced hundreds of plants. To produce seeds (autopollination possible), pollen must be dry but the...

    Gypsum for Mexican Pings?

I know some people that are mixing some old rusted nails in the media of Brocchinia. Each time they are watering the media, some iron may be adsorbed by the roots. You can try this and also as foliar spray once a month maybe

    Gypsum for Mexican Pings?

I am not using it. I would say that if you are happy with the growth of your plants, don't change. If you are not, experiment...??? When I tried for the first time to use calcareous cat litter to grow my Pinguicula, a lot of people thought I was crazy :-)) . Now, it is "normal" to use...

    Gypsum for Mexican Pings?

I use it for P. immaculata, P. gypsicola, P. colimensis among others but not pure. I mix it with sand 2-3 mm (20%) to prevent the soil to be too compact as wit water it become like concrete... No problem for the plants. Keep in mind that it is heavy if you get a full batch, the load on your...

    Pinguicula (Pachuca) ?

I feel also that it is a form of P. moranensis from or close from the population in Molango but Laurent Legendre tested it genetically and noted that it is different from a P. moranensis   The article can be read here : LaurentLegendre 's article

    Pinguicula medusina

Hi Joseph, I grow this species on pure gypsum and it reached very large diameter, many leaf plantlets. You can also try a mix of and calcareous cat litter that you will mix with water to do like a sludge, let it dry and use it for growing your plant in putting the bulb in a hole you will...
