I agree about the soil mix.
Looks very dense and wet.
Drosophyllum like it on the dry side.
I used a very airy soil mix. 8" pot with 30% perlite, 30% vermiculite, 30% pool filter sand, 10% peat moss.

Was in Myrtle Beach over Thanksgiving. On the way home I made a really quick stop at the Green Swamp Preserve.
Only got to hike half the trail. Would like to make another stop when I have time to investigate.
Found several VFT's.

A little history on this plant. I got my plant in 2006.
I struggled a long time with this plant. It grew very slowly, stayed small, and just never put out many leaves. I had thought about getting rid of it more then I can count.
I tried many different media combinations over the years...
