Looking for a growth requirement article

Hey all. I remember reading an article about the germination and growth requirements of N. edwardsiana and some other ultrahighland Nepenthes a few years ago. I thought it was located on pitcherplants.com, but I can no longer find it there. If anyone can direct me to this article, I would...

    N. x Predator cuttings

Hey guys, sorry I've taken so long to reply. To answer some questions I've received: -The cuttings are unrooted -They are all three-node cuttings -I don't know quite how to gauge the quality of a cutting, but I'd say they're pretty good At this point, I have 15 trade offers and only three...

    N. x Predator cuttings

Hey guys. I have too many vines in my tanks so I'm cutting them up. Currently, I've just got three N. x Predator cuttings and I'd like to get rid of them while I'm home on fall break. If anyone is interested in trading something that stays small and is easy to care for, let me know. I'd like...

    Anamensis revisited: snails?

I just found another snail in a different tank, and this one was on a leaf, not the substrate. I know I have snails among my Nepenthes, but there is no leaf damage whatsoever on any of them. Are you sure snails never attack the roots or anything like that? -Daniel

    Anamensis revisited: snails?

Hey guys. I've recently found numerous snails crawling about in my anamensis pot. Every day, there seems to be a new one sliming around on the moss. I have never seen them on the plant, but the fact that they keep popping up out of nowhere suggests to me that they are hidding under the moss...

    Anamensis problems

5 GE 'sunlight' and 1 GE 'plant & aquarium' but it changes from time to time. It is always some combination of those two types, though. -Daniel

    Anamensis problems

Day and night temps are around 70-80°F, higher during the day than at night but not a significant difference. Humidity is fairly high, above 70%. It is about 18" from the lights (six 4' tubes) and it has produced one pitcher within two months of my receiving it. It is growing in a combination of...

    Father/daughter Talk

...I don't think grades relate too well to income. I also don't believe in redistribution of wealth... but some of those things, i.e., higher taxes for the rich, are pretty reasonable. I don't think people should have to pay a higher tax than the rest of us because they are rich, just a tax that...

    Some nep photos

Since I haven't been on in awhile, I thought I might show some of my plants: A tiny spectabilis pitcher, barely an inch tall: Closeup on a sibuyanensis peristome: Here's a maxima var. superba x boschiana pitcher in the corner: The peristome of a recently opened x Predator intermediate...
