Here's a shot to show the "missing' vft.
Also, the photos above are hosted on photobucket. I would suggest they be resized to 640X480 (like this photo) so they fit on ou screens and no "side schrolling" is needed.
Here's some more photos of a ceph trap......notice the overlaying collar visible in second photo..partially down the trap......if you are a bug and fall in...and successfully climb the wall up to this collar......how do you get past it........can't climb on it upside down!!
I used a product called Safer's "Defender" on my two cephs when they were suffering from grey mildew. Its .40% sulphur. Seemed to cure the problem with no ill affects. I would just spray the plant then top water it to rinse the excess that got on the soil and not the plant.
My ceph did what was described. Small plant, small traps...no non-trap leaves..then suddenly puts on much larger traps- have a look at my post on our Canadian Website-

Check this out
1) Borrow a chop saw.
2) Buy some 1 X 6 and some glue and screws.
3) Figure out how many shelves, how tall, how much distance to allow for light fixture thickness/distance from plant/height of plants pots.
4) Build it.
Those leaves are fakers. They look all black and rotten so you yank on them and suddenly they have the strength of a steel cable and yank the plant out. Now i give it a gentle tug...if nothing...get out my small scissors and cut it.
Been there and done that....brings back memories....
