trap size is mostly affected by age thats a fact, and i believe feeding it large juicy insects.

the older your plant gets the tough and more times a trap can be fed it also depends on the bug rolly pollies i believe will kill a trap every time but it shouldnt die if it eats a cricket or fly that is small enough for the trap

my largest vft which is the biggest i have ever seen in person has leaves that are around 5 to 6 inches long and traps around one inch it has about seven traps with about six more growingthat are almost done but this plant is pretty old i believe

every two years you may want to transpant or add more sphagnum to keep it acidic enough but another thing to keep the traps or the whole plant red is light more than soil

traps sometimes dont develope right just always observe your plant it should be fine though

thats not normal for all of them to close up when feeding one make sure a big bug isnt triggering the traps when your not around

if you feed you vft anything try to give it an insect that is soft bodied like cricket, flies, maggots, and even worms just not to big.

one of my vfts was producing slow so i feed one of the traps a piece of earth worm and that seemed to super charge the growth and make it all around healthier

yeah it is color and scent that is why traps get red and pinkish inside to attarct insects and the dew is a way to keep the insect in the trap

i would move the plants outside when summer comes.

why dont yal sell live sphagnum moss? i think that would be cool to have.

i went away for ten days not long ago and i was wondering the same thing i set it in a tuber wear contain shorter that the pot filled the container up to the brim and the wrapped pastic around the tuberwear but not over the plant that did the trick.

dont panic unless all the leaves turn black at once but give it time they can act weird sometimes
