Bought a couple nice Sarrs from Fred P. Extremely pleased at the quality of the plants! And, he's a super nice guy and a pleasure to deal with! His plants are nothing short of stunning, as these photos show. I'll try to post photos of their progress, as they are just rhizomes now.
Thanks...
Ha ha....it probably would have, but i divided it out of necessity and to try to sell a few off, as i have too many of this particular hybrid. It grows and divides like crazy!

I have way too many of the same hybrid (S. X readii) which is Leuco x rubra. Have medium to large divisions, almost all are flowering size. $10 for mediums, $15 for larges. Please PM if interested.
Thanks

Well, i know it's not spring yet, but many of my Sarracenia are waking up from their long winter's nap. Found a bunch of S. x readii that had literally busted out of their pot! Not the first time I've had that happen. Other photo is a little "before and after" trimming.

Sorry, Fred P, you're not fooling me....plants that gorgeous don't come easy....gotta be some magic involved! They are truly amazing, not kidding. But, I see you live in North Carolina, where they are native, so that doesn't hurt! Anyways, all jokes aside, some if the nicest Sarras I've ever...
If you want to divide it, feel free. All Sarrs can be easily split or divided provided there are some roots on the pieces. Some suggest spraying the cut (exposed) areas with fungicide, but I don't think I ever have done it, and haven't had any problems. Good luck.

Hmmmm..
Others may chime in and agree or disagree, but my opinion is to go with fresh mix. If the media had been mixed and DRY, in sealed bags or containers, might have been a different story. The fact that it was wet probably harbored mold, mildew and other icky stuff that you don't want around...
Very nice! Wish I had the climate (and your magic touch) to grow those beauties! Kept some for a year or so, but lost all of them to our hot Louisiana summer! [emoji22]

S. "Dana's Delight" Pichers are over 2 feet tall. Sorry about the busy background, but at least the Dana's stand out! [emoji41]
