Soil? Safe, or Toxic? *-squints-*

The Canadian peat moss bales that Not a Number mentioned are good. The bale I bought had a bunch of sticks and hard stuff in it though that I picked out because I'm picky! Get it?! HAR HAR... Anyway listen to him, he knows his stuff! I've been using perlite as an additive personally and it's...

    Flower stalk propagation

I would imagine you could with pretty much any Drosera, though some may be more difficult?

Will it be possible to adapt a Venus Fly trap to live year round?

I'd most definitely say it's possible through evolution/selective breeding. Just remember that through selective breeding you can do remarkable things. Consider that the following plants all come from an original type of cabbage and have been manipulated over many years through selective...

    D. spatulata flower stalk

Why not just cut the stalk up and use it for "cuttings"?

    flower stalk cuttings

Cool. I've got a flower stalk growing on one of my VFTs for some odd reason right now. I'm going to do the same thing here as soon as I cut it and get motivated enough to break out my bale of peat moss and sift out the crap and mix some perlite for a pot.

VFT Sighting on HBO "True Blood"

I believe the same clip can be seen in a Nine Inch Nails video taken from one of their live concerts of the song Right Where It Belongs.

    Drosera binata flower

You would definitely be better off buying a new scanner with a negative adapter. It would come with the software you'd need. If you need photo editing software, just download GIMP. It's a freeware image editing program that's pretty damn good.

    A few TC photos

When they are ready, you remove them from tissue culture and plant them in your media of choice. The TC jelly provides the water/nutrients they need (I believe it's loaded with hormones to encourage growth?).

Love your plants but don't LOVE your plans - hysterical Earth First people

Well hysterical is absolutely appropriate in this case because hysterical can also mean out of your mind or crazy. Usually it happens to people when something noteworthy actually happens to them like a mother's child drowning or somebody else close to somebody has just died, unlike in this...

Anybody know where I can find Philips ADV850 bulbs in smaller quantities?

The lights I have aren't of the ADV type. I have the wrapping from them at home. It was just what seemed to be the best of what was readily available locally. As for the reflector, I have several long sheets of Mylar that I want to put on the reflectors, only problem is the enamlish paint on...

Anybody know where I can find Philips ADV850 bulbs in smaller quantities?

Haha! I found that link and edited my post to include that right before you replied. Thanks for the help anyway brew! :-D And yeah I'm really interested to see how well they perform. I'm using six 6500k philips bulbs with an 86 CRI rating at the moment. They appear to have them and it's...
