Do you guys just get crushed coral at an aquarium store and leach it like crazy, or is there a horticultural product that I don't know about? Experiment!

jimscott, what media are you propagating in? it looks like dry peat??? I have had the same "problem", I'll try cutting a few and let you know how they did...

cool, CP! I think if it worked long term, it would have the same advantage as it does for orchids- less watering, but lots of air to the root system!

really great orchids. I have been thinking about thrying to grow Neps semi hydroponically in pellets, just like they grow orchids. The bottom 1/4- 1" of pellets sits in water and the capillary action allows the media to hold water without decreasing the amout of air that can get to the roots...

sorry for the weird post. I think my friend must have done that... anyways, really nice coloration on these! can't wait to see them mature
